Been a few weeks since I’ve been out with my camera, but the last couple days have been picking up. Had been hoping for some baldys at sunset, but this close-up encounter of a red tailed hawk was certainly magic enough #EastCoastKin #birdphotography 🪶

Doing acute family care for multiple people at the moment means finding and cherishing stolen, such as this one, when after several days, I got an hour to myself and witnessed this. Coincidentally, the alt #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Moments, a capture you consider to be an interesting moment.

The lighting wasn’t great and it was at a distance, but this was after a bunch of us rescued some chicks who were unable to get down the wall to their very distraught mama. Today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Parenthood any capture of parents and young.

A great egret’s long neck is slightly curved, but stretched towards the water. It’s beak penetrates the water and beyond the ripple is a full reflection of the bird.

Last spring, maybe the first time I laid out on a warbler, which is still find frustratingly difficult to see, but hey, that means it’s fulfilling both #BirdOfTheDay themes #Warblers and #RareEncounters . Merlin thinks Wilson’s warbler.

oh, that’s so exciting! This is my second year of noticing them at all and just last week I realized they’re paired up in the forest. there were two distinct pairs that I met. They were quite cute. Going shopping for seeds together.

Last #BirdOfTheDay of the day for me. After watching a single great egret fish for an out an hour on a grey day, this happened. Handheld white on grey in flight with a bridge camera and an inexperienced photographer (me!) does not make for a great photo. But it was a great moment. 🪶 #FourOrMore
