Seeing it in this format is a core memory for me. It truly feels like a different experience even though Ive been to IMAX before in the past. Plus whats really cool is that you can go behind the curtain and see how they make the magic happen. So glad I was able to experience this.
The Odyssey (2026) Staying up till 3am to get 70mm IMAX ticket paid off. Epic, Engaging, and Engrossing from start to finish, this is no doubt another big surprise for me this year but a contender for my favorite 2026 movie as well.
Minions and Monsters (2026): Nothing was clicking for me at all for this, but seeing the early reviews got me curious enough to watch it. And holy schmoly, they were able to make not only a love letter to golden Hollywood, but a great Minions movie in general. Biggest surprise of the summer for me.
Toy Story 5: I will admit, I was a bit skeptical at first when this was announced. 5 was pushing it a bit too much, yet somehow, someway, Pixar was able to make it work once more. I love Jessie being the focus of the story which has a very important message too. A surprise sure, but a welcomed one.
Toy Story 4: Was this film unecessary? Yea probably. Does it still deliver a fantastic experience withba great story, gorgeous animation, and a strong message? You bet it does.
Incredibles 2 (2018): Do I think is this film overrated? Absolutely. Do I also understand what people were dissapointed? Also absoutely.
Cars 3 (2017): This is the most "it exists" movie in Pixar library. Not to say that its a bad thing or anything. It does deliver a solid story, animation, and characters, but you can tell that there was more to it.
Coco (2017): Its Vibrant and colorful, has beautiful and catchy songs, a great cast of characters, and a emotional story about family makes this film a Pixar masterpiece that will be remembered for years to come.
Star Fox (2026): Suffice to say, I still love this game as I did before. A couple nitpicks here and there, but fundamentally a really solid, fun, and beautiful remake. I'd honestly would put this and the OG as my favorite games of all time too.
