thinking of how when you look up at the sky in teyvat (or was that changed by now? I'll check in game later) there's always this pattern, and how it looks like Ronova's eyes - as if she were always watching

#genshinlore I haven't explored the whole area but from what I've seen it seemed like this was the only tree of its kind in the area and it looks like a grown version of the little irminsul trees that are found in Sal vind/tsurumi/oasis/chasm 😵‍💫

AAH!! I was reading through the notes we find in the tsar's palace and they mention the voyager and seelie times, and it really caught my attention the mention of specifically "30 years" cause it immediately made me think of the "30 days" mentioned in the first bit of voyager lore we ever got

... was right. Hyperborea's fate had been sealed long before The Saint arrived. That long-written decree to annihilate the golden realm was one that even the eldest daughter of the angels could not alter, and all the men who remained faithful to the future could do was stave off the execution of that judgment for a mere thirty years. This fact alone is more than enough to disprove all of my earlier conclusions...

At a far-flung moment in the distant past, the ancestor of the seelie met a traveler from afar, with whom they swore an oath of union witnessed by the three sisters of the Lunar Palace. Just thirty days later, a sudden disaster struck. The seelie and their lover fled into exile as the world collapsed around them, fleeing until the terrible calamity caught up with and seized them. Their cruel punishment was to be separated from each other for eternity and to have their memories wiped without a trace.

and when searching Anacharsis, it fits so perfectly, coming to a new nation and losing themselves in it, sort of leaving behind their old traditions. coming from a culture that transformed their gender fits female voyager taking on the body of a boy

Anacharsis was the brother of the Scythian king Saulius, and both of them were the sons of the previous Scythian king, Gnurus. [2][1]

Few concrete details are known about the life of the historical Anacharsis. He is known to have travelled to Greece, where he possibly became influenced by Greek culture. [2]

Anacharsis was later killed by his brother Saulius for having sacrificed to the Scythian ancestral Snake-Legged Goddess at her shrine in the country of Hylaea [2] by performing an orgiastic and shamanistic ritual at night during which he wore images on his dress and played drums. [3]

The ancient Greek author, Herodotus of Halicarnassus, claimed that Anacharsis had been killed because he had renounced Scythian customs and adopted Greek ones, although this claim was likely invented by Herodotus himself. [2] The religious rituals practised by Anacharsis instead corresponded more closely to those of the transvestite Anarya priesthood of the Scythians. [3]

The Enarei, singular Enaree, were Scythian priestesses and shamanistic soothsayers who played an important role in the Scythian religion. The Enarei were assigned male at birth but considered to have undergone a divine/religious transformation of their sex, after which they assumed feminine roles and lived as women. They served the Snake-Legged Goddess and the goddess Artimpasa.

On another occasion, Capitano saw Dottore and Pantalone leaving that floor together late one evening, both grinning from ear to ear. As expected, Pulcinella soon gave them a furious scolding ("Those two could talk anywhere they wanted to! Did they really have to take up a shared facility?!"). He then announced that measures would be taken to put a stop to such behavior ("Tell whoever's in charge to reject those bastards' applications outright next time!"). Unfortunately, neither of them ever booked a counseling room again. With no chance to deliver the punishment he had prepared, Pulcinella was left to stew in frustration all over again. Capitano didn't know what to say, either. Later, he bought Pulcinella a bottle of good wine, though he never asked whether he ever opened it.

just remembered the clock(?) above marjorie's store in mondstadt that doesn't have the number 9 and instead shows 11 in it's place. like it's been years and they never fixed it?? why hyv whhyy???

This implies that the areas Voidsea Outlook, Wavechaser Plain, Ashveil Peak, and the rest of the unreleased part of the island can collectively be referred to as Pohjola.

aaa back when I read hymns of the far north I immediately thought the third descender must be the son of someone, since it describes him as noble-born and nobly raised son, now it would make total sense for him to be the son of koitar and the voyager (who had the star eyes)+

there's also the fact that everything has told us that fate can't be changed but in this teaser Nicole (and a mysterious voice?) say that fate can be changed, specifically when the desires of ppl (or heaven's creactions) accumulate, which fits with the role of the traveler as a descender +

"the threads of fate themselves will be shaken"

it's the same in Before Sun and Moon, the chapter before the funerary year is omitted (probably the angel rebellion) and before that it shows this: everything was perfect according to plan but the path to temptation/destruction had already been sealed.

#genshinlore the npc diotima tells us that the process in which souls pass from teyvat changed, from moons to irminsul, and that makes me think of all the theories about when irminsul appeared and my personal favourites of who irminsul could be, who turned into the tree that holds the world??

The "Moon Capital"? What is that?
Diotima: Ah... I suppose people nowadays wouldn't know. In my time, three bright moons still hung in the sky, and upon each resided many lunar envoys.
Diotima: Back then, noble souls did not head for the depths of the ancient tree. Instead, they followed the trail of the envoys to sleep eternally in the cities upon the moons.
Diotima: I never actually visited the moons myself, but it must be a place as peaceful as it is here.

#genshinlore Can't believe 4 years later we actually got lore that answers some of these questions in the A Day Carved From Rising Winds artifact set - and of course istaroth is at the scene of the crime

So how is it that such a huge historical figure such as the one who led possibly the biggest rebellion in mond history, has no name?
We know of others who all got their fame and recognition, such as Venessa and the Four Winds,
but the nameless bard was simply.. forgotten. Even with Barbatos taking his form to honor his memory, no one but venti actually remembers him.. Even his huge statue is seen as Barbatos in the eyes of Mondstadt's citizens.
For a nation that is ruled by a bard who likes to tell stories, and the wind which is supposed to bring forth stories from the past "Stories brought on the wind will bloom into legends in due time." - mondstadt is a nation that is disconnected from its past.

What I did not know before starting to think about this, is that the so-called red-haired warrior (the first actual Ragnvindr knight appears a thousand years later), walked away from Barbatos once he ascended to god-hood, i wonder why that was?
There are 3 things from this event that are left unknown, the name of the bard, the name of the red haired warrior and the appearance(existence?) of the windbloom. Two of the main warriors of the rebellion and the symbol of said rebellion, but all that is remembered is Barbatos.
so.. why were these details not carried by the wind? - and might it be related to how the people of Mond also forgot about them worshipping the god of Time?

genshin has been glitching lot for me since the new patch was released.. it has never done this before so I had no idea what was going on at first.. I reported it but they told me to restart the game and check file integrity.. which I had obviously already done..

This immediately made me think of the Toara artifact set, they each mention sending a person to a place full of crowns and ancient white trees
