Alfred Waud was known for detailed sketches of the American Civil War. He saw brutal combat at the First Battle of Manassas (Bull Run) and in every town the Army of the Potomac traveled through during the war. 1861-1865 Some examples from Gettysburg, July 1-3, 1862, a turning point in the war.
