Hey East Central Indiana! - our last Whistle Stop mobile sale will be at the Ward Township District 5 Schoolhouse north of Winchester, this coming Saturday! That’s June 13, from Noon - 3 pm. We will be there for the school’s open house with a selection of #Indiana #NativePlants! We will have approximately 40 species with us, but your best bet is to order online for pickup that day. This will offer you a wider selection than what we will be able to bring with us. No worries- these ordering ahead is *no risk*. If you change your mind - for any reason - you can receive a refund.
See many species we carry growing in the beds around the schoolhouse grounds! If you’ve never been to the school, you are in for a treat! The restoration is amazing. We are looking forward to a tour of the grounds ourselves!

Giant swallowtail lays eggs on its Indiana native host plant- hoptree, a member of the citrus family! See alt text for full information about this photo, and our fall sale beginning Sept 23!!

👀 Look at this spectacular moment that Hollyn caught at the sale on Friday!! We saw it come in, a huge beautiful giant swallowtail butterfly. We joked that it had come for and was looking for its host plant, hoptree. And sure enough!! She went straight to them and started laying eggs!

As our potted plants are beginning to go dormant for fall, we took the eggs home and put them on our much greener plants. These will hatch, hopefully become final instar caterpillars, and overwinter as chrysalids. Last round of butterflies, go!
