#WildlifeWednesday Dead leaves left in the spring provide a form of insulation for nesting animals, such as the Yellow-Banded Bumblebee, who nest underground in the winter. This bumblebee was listed in 2015 as Special Concern by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada.
