Yeah, it was a lot. Gonna need to replace my filters today as I've been delaying on that.
This is what its been inside. Normally the forest fire smoke just blows past but this time its real bad.
My 13yo is reading a book about AI and I noticed that it was taking longer for him to read than normal. So I asked him about the book and he casually mentioned that it seems like a book I'd enjoy. Looked it up and... dear reader... OK then... he's not wrong, but I'm shocked.
I appreciated that this was a very informative email that just went out from UBC. It coming 24 hours after the attack isn't great, but better late than never.
We had our traditional pi day dessert. My son has to calculate the circumference before we can eat it.
Today's #ykaHotChocolateFest is the Alanis S'Moreissette at Table Twelve Fifty, wonderfully rich, the marshmallow was tasty, but the biscotti really brought together the smores flavour.
Forgot to update the #ykaHotChocolateFest tries. The pistachio white hot chocolate at Ice-cream Social was fantastic. Smooth and rich while not being overpowering and the pistachio elevated it nicely.
Got to try out two of the ##ykaHotChocolateFest drinks yesterday. I loved the cinnamon hot chocolate (topped with crushed candy cinnamon hearts) from Amplified. The pistachio hot chocolate from Fresh St. Market was OK, but didnt blow me away, the pistachio flavor was too subtle.
It's been a few years since I was on the UBC Vancouver campus last, so of course its overcast and damp. But thats how I remember it, so that tracks 😀.
Always fun in Brock to see the 'sidewalks' disappear whenever it rains. #kamloops
The aurora is just barely visible to the naked eye, but the magic of cameras can see it.
I feel like some of the pokemon people would put pictures of this guy around the Expedia office
In happy news, today is publication day! doi.org/10.47678/cjh... What Is Prohibited? Non-Academic Conduct Policies in Canadian Universities I really enjoyed writing this one, and learned a lot about the impacts on non-academic conduct policy across the country.
What to do when it's over 36 degrees? Go to the park to read and listen to grest music.
Setting up early for #musicinthepark and reading a book is a great way to spend a Friday evening. #Kamloops
I probably should have harvested my rhubarb a week ago, but I was busy, so a bunch of it scorched in the hot weather while I was at conference. But I've got enough for some rhubarb sauce, so thats going to be amazing.
