Building a personal spiritual path with a little bit of science and a little bit of magic. She/her
Time spent in deep thought. Contemplating the world. Pausing to get my cocktail of ideas & emotions sorted before I take on a big change in my life as well as a new big project. Yep, that’s exactly what I need right now, a break to recalibrate & that’s exactly what I’ve been doing today. #Tarotsky
2 days in a row I’ve drawn the High Priestess card for my #TarotCOTD. Obviously she has more wisdom to share with me 😆 Yesterday I focused on looking beyond duality in the world. Today, my focus is taking a more detailed look at the messages of Boaz & Jachin. #Tarotsky
Spending some time with the court cards today. Also doing a bit more study on Myers-Briggs system. It’s been years since I studied personality psychology, kinda fun to step back into it. #Tarotsky
Red tacos from the Carniceria 🤤 I ate one before I thought to share the deliciousness with you.
It may have been about 100F out today, but I still simmered a pot of stock to make my daughter homemade chicken noodle soup before she goes off to college. She made the homemade noodles. We’ll can the unused broth & chicken. There are several lbs of chicken under those veggies
Today I’m reading Moral Vices and Virtues: An Ethics of Mutual Aid. Character, Cooperation, and the Moral Cost of Hierarchy by Mason Carter It’s a simple, concise book that appears to be one that will intersect many of my endeavors. It will be one I frequently consult.
New books arrived! Learning more about #MutualAid, resistance, and anarchy. #Resist #BuildCommunity
Meditation with my tarot deck to help me gain focus and perspective on my decision to start a mutual aid group. It guided me to yes this is the best path to resist fascism, my initial focus should be on conflict management & deescalation skills as I start to build better community. #Tarotsky
I haven’t had the chance to get a good picture of my new baby, until now. Meet my new kitten, Miso. She came home with me from the shelter and fit right in with the family. Shes spring actioned and equal parts adorable and mischievous. I love her so freaking much 💚
*clutches pearls* oh my! Put some pants on! You’re not an eggplant 😳🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆
I guess I earned a new achievement today 🤷♀️ #AchesAndPains #ArthritisSucks #HookingHurts
Speaking of animals, Mr. T just stopped by for a visit 🤣
Denny & Midnight say good snuggles to you today good people of Bluesky 💚 Any other adorable murder floofs out there? #catsky
Fiddlehead fern & shiitake stir fry for dinner tonight 🤤 Don’t forget to cook them before eating!
Visited @lionstoothmke.com bookshop in Milwaukee this weekend. Our 1st visit to MKE & was told to visit. Local artists & authors are celebrated here! Picked up a new book, met Jaffee & his human, & loved on the whole vibe of the location. #Booksky #IndieBooks Visit them! www.lionstoothmke.com
Found a new favorite kombucha thanks to the sample lady at Costco. Thank you Costco sample lady 😘
My lilacs are attracting a variety of Lepidoptera. Yesterday I found butterflies, moths, and skippers flitting around the blossoms, including these gorgeous ladies sporting both colors of female Eastern Tiger Swallowtails
Sitting outside crocheting. The breeze is sending the scent of lilacs over to me 💚
It’s really hard to crochet when someone thinks it’s a bed. #catsky #crochetsky
Costco sent me a replacement order for a box I never received. They sent each item in a separate box 😒 I made use of it and created a cardboard tower for the cats to explore.
Today is a crocheting kind of day #crochetsky #fiberart #weavinglove #KnotMagic #Witchsky
Picked up a bunch of physics books for my aspiring physicist teen & my eye caught this one written by Felix Flicker, PhD, a theoretical physicist. Very much interested to see how this perspective melds with my personal views of science and spirituality. #Witchsky
Cats are lounging in the sun. One is getting baked, the other is hot boxing.
Had a busy day today, but took an hour to spend with the Sandhill cranes tonight. We found a nice quiet spot along the Platte River and admired thousands of cranes flying in to roost for the night. One of my favorite spring traditions.
