Retired, have goats, horse and a cat. Have become interested in ricefish and cherry shrimp. Love green houses and the plants in them. Interested in almost everything. Please don’t put me on starter lists.
I have been wanting to get back to drawing/painting. This is my first effort but it looks like a child did it. Any ideas on how to make the next one look like an adult did it?
I never knew fish had best friends but these two were eggs together and stay together most of the time
I thought I would show yall some of the babies because they are relaxing. I now have about 1000 more or less.
This is the very first time I’ve had a cat lie in this position. It has always fascinated me when I have seen images of of other cats doing it.
It looks like a pink variant of the Cherokee rose. The Cherokee rose is unfortunately invasive in several countries.
Just a few of the baby Pearl Galaxy Ricefish. I have 8 buckets that are still too small to go in here. All the sawdust is from mosquito dunks. For some reason I don’t have any orange ones yet at all.
Looks like crowded parchment lichen. I wonder if he had seen them before this painting
Somehow tadpoles got into my inside fish tank. I have been chasing them trying to get them out before they turn carnivore. So late is better than never. Now outside to finish loosing the tail.
This is a pic of some that are about a week old below the lines. Sorry I don’t know how to put arrows to them.
First find of the day. I think it was from last year and overwintered bc it is perfect even though it is dead.
Miss PittyPat has begun to run in front of us, fling herself in the floor and demand a tummy rub. We have begun calling it her “tummy tax”.
I took this from the Apple News feed but that bald head is so shiny I think we should spread it all over the net.
I put my first set of baby ricefish outside for the summer. I wish the camera picked up their eyes glowing blue in the daylight not filtered by glass.
The same image from earlier today and on the left at 11 PM with all the blooms open.
Two adult five lined lizards and a subadult which is also known as a blue tailed skink
Three day old baby ricefish getting pretty good at swimming and at the end hours old ricefish that is mostly resting from 3 days of work getting out of its egg. All at 3x magnification.
@saunieindiego.bsky.social I thought all my African violets were the same but this redder one just bloomed. Check it out
