NPD, completely reworking my board's dirt section with JHS. The Violet replaces my Metal Zone which I can dig back out if I ever want to chug. The rest opens up a much wider palette of tones than I've had before. I'm also back to building so I'll have new instruments to share in a couple of weeks 🎸

I'm set up at the Tooele Arts Festival and the event committee is already mad at my booth. Job done!

Sometime later today it'll be "pack all the things" for the Tooele Arts Festival. I have seven builds ready to go. I just need to make sure everything is charged and stage everything else. And, oh yeah, I need to pack a bag for all my clothes and stuff. But, umm, coffee first, because reasons. ☕️

Yeah, this is serial number "Six Seven", hence the name. There are two wound strings (36/17) that are both tuned to G. This has the effect of each note packing its own drone while still giving room for tonal range and improvisational noodling. No truss rod needed! #cigarboxguitar #cbg

To answer a question: Yes, the resonator DOES make a difference in tone even without a piezo glued to the tin. Signal chain is straight into my Orange Crush and mic'ed with Neewer lavaliers. Sorry about the clipping, I don't have a proper recording setup right now and I've other shit to do.

When I say my old EQ died screaming this is what I mean

I've shuffled my main pedalboard around in between doing many other things, because new pedals and my old EQ died screaming. This works very well with CBGs and my personal instruments. Current signal chain in the alt text.

Here's proof that I can and do build more "traditional" cigar box guitar builds. "Anode" has a lighter gauge string set 36/26/17 tuned to a very "traditional" GDG. I mean, this has a classic gitty look, so I decided it needed that classic gitty tuning. #cigarboxguitar #cbg #threestring #resonator
