I'm a cool librarian who is extremely into very dweeby things and visiting the tackiest tourist-traps on the planet.
Failed to find anyone with Thelemic leanings, struck out when finding the tarot deck I was looking for. But found some interesting-looking reading material (branchimg out into reading about Wicca)
Morning in a heatwave on a day where I don't have to go to work until later, feels like the right time to watch California Crisis.
When it's hot, I only really want to play handheld video games. I just started Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite This game is SO CUTE!
I've been picking up back issues of The Incredible Hulk lately and was pleased to find this issue I picked out of a $3 bin is signed by the writer, Peter David!
My Area #1 score is surely going to be gone in a flash, but it feels good that I can claim to be the NY high score holder, even with my absolute scrub-ass, barely-clearing score! I know there are other NY players that will blow me away but I can hold the record for as long as they don't play it!
My final upload from the American Treasure Tour: a short clip of the Chuck E. Cheese animatronics in action! I never went to a Chuck E. Cheese so I've never seen them in person before, so this was cool. Also I'm not used to recording video with my camera so I missed the actual song.
The last of the photos for this thread! I want to know what's in the "Artist's Pipe Dream - For Men Only" movie viewer... Also I love the weird looking Seeburg jukebox, I don't think I've ever seen one of those before.
Getting to the end, here are some misc SIGHTS that I liked. It's wild to see those shelves FULL in a random corner where nobody can easily get close and see what's on them. And I don't know why that particular Alice in the second pic looks like a Gelfling but she seems vaguely familiar somehow?
Many lamps! Pinball machines that deserve to be moved someplace where they can be played! Cheap eats! And the Maytag Repair Man
The king of Candy Land! An airplane! The Pep Boys! A BUNCH OF SEVERED HEADS???
They had an array of Chuck E. Cheese animatronics and THEY ACTUALLY SANG FOR THE TOUR! I think I have a video clip of it that I should be able to post sometime...
I miss the era from when Trump was just some B-tier celebrity nobody took seriously... Also I love the giant Gumby
The Simpsons feat. Kermit, a wizard, a gnome, Wizard of Oz characters, more slot machines, MORE CLOWNS! And also some super-rad hand-shaped chairs! I wish I had one of those.
More than Christmas, there was also a ton of Easter decorations. Apparently the Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs set in the last picture are the *only* things in the collection that were donated - everything else was purchased.
Some of the Christmas collection! A lot of these came from department stores. Very neat!
There were already a bunch of clowns, but this is really THE CLOWN ZONE. The clowns in the second picture were mostly mechanized and moving.
This is supposedly the world's largest castle made of popsicle sticks. It's pretty impressive, but kind of gets lost among all the other wild things on display.
