more than 30,000 bricks line the refractory of this fluidized bed incinerator where biosolids become ash for beneficial reuse. we're replacing the refractory bricks now through July. all by hand.
today, Nancy and Gary stopped by our exhibit table at the Great Lakes Science Center. they told us their first date—was Clean Water Fest. they don’t remember the year, but they said they still talk about it to this day, and it remains one of the coolest dates they’ve ever had. 🥹

🥹 Mink Rescue Alert 🫴 this little guy trapped itself in one of our Southerly effluent tanks. employees strapped a pole net together, pulled him out, and called Ohio’s DNR for guidance. he’s now recovering with another rescued mink at the Ohio Wildlife Center until they can be released together.
