Yesterday NETWORK’s Senior Government Relations Advocate, Min. Christian S. Watkins, along with other faith leaders hosted a “Good Trouble Lives On” vigil to honor the legacy of civil rights activist Congressman John Lewis. We praised, we sang, and we reminisced on the teachings of Mr.Lewis.
As the July 24 deadline approaches, 330,000 Haitian TPS holders could lose their work permits, putting families at risk of losing their livelihoods and facing deportation. TPS holders are our neighbors, parents, students, caregivers, nursing assistants, and members of our faith communities.
Dreamers and TPS holders deserve more than uncertainty. This week, advocates and Members of Congress took a critical step toward securing a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers and TPS holders by launching a bipartisan discharge petition for the American Dream and Promise Act.

NETWORK is grateful for the bipartisan coalition that carried the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act into law. Catholic social justice guided our advocacy, and this legislation reflects those principles by increasing our supply of affordable housing and strengthening communities around the country.
