Neutrals
@neutrals
Allan, Phil, Jason. Band from the S.F. Bay Area via Scotland. MD ANT.
This is is coming up very soon all of a sudden… tickets at linktr.ee/neutrals82
We’ve been hard at work in the practice space dusting off some older songs for this upcoming tour, including a bunch from 2019’s Kebab Disco… neutrals.bandcamp.com/album/kebab-...
Development of the new town of the LP requires construction of a new motorway. Stop the Bypass imagines a protest song by a local band against the destruction of homes, parks, and animal habitat in the path of the new road, like how Peckham Action Group commissioned Crisis to write “No Town Hall”.
In the interests of keeping the dream alive/for anyone that might be new to us here on bluesky, sharing some past works and stories... like most of the songs on new town dream, Steven Proctor, Bus Conductor was inspired by a story from an old newspaper...
PS if you have a zine, blog, or radio show and you can help us get the word out about this tour, please get in touch. Likewise if you have a record shop, cafe, bookshop or whatever and can help by putting up a poster or two. It would be very much appreciated.
Sharing some posters for the upcoming UK tour… more as we get them. Tickets for most gigs are now available at linktr.ee/Neutrals82
We’ve been saving for this all year; After several aborted attempts, Neutrals will finally tour the UK this summer. Lots more news to come, including a couple more gigs that are still not quite finalized. Can’t wait to see you all. Allan, Phil, Jason x
You’ll have your first chance to see him in action on Thursday April 30th at Question Mark bar in Soma. We are all curious to see how he’s gonna do!
Neutrals News! Like us, many of you were sad to learn that Lauren was leaving Neutrals earlier this year to concentrate on @rhymies.bsky.social -- Well, good news - we have convinced someone to take over. This is Jason Patrone jpatrone.bsky.social
We’ve been a bit quiet lately but we have some activity coming up, starting with this show in San Francisco at the end of the month.
Had a great time at The New Farm on Saturday. Next up: the Knockout this Thursday! Come help me (Allan) celebrate hitting double nickels!
NEW MERCH! These shirts were designed by our friend Kevin McCarthy (Rank Xerox, Jump Off A Building)… we have long been admirers of his art so we’re stoked to be able to work with him on these. Available on Friday night at our show in Seattle (1/2)
This is coming up soon. Very stoked to be invited. It actually means a lot because we’ve long admired the discerning taste exemplified by @ironlungrecords.bsky.social …
Our next show is in Seattle on April 18 with our friends Collate and Fugitive Bubble, as part of the Iron Lung Records “what we like” weekend. We’re extremely honoured that they chose to include us. ironlungrecords.bigcartel.com/product/what...

Next month: an awayday to celebrate 35 years of @slumberlandrecords.bsky.social with the SLR B-team & Redwood Records. (Photo: Scott Z, 1988 courtesy Joel/Boots n Booze magazine)
Looks like trouble coming. In such crazy times it can be hard to feel positive. But we are grateful for the response to New Town Dream this year. It was heartwarming to hear from people as far afield as the UK, Europe, Japan and Australia who connected with the record. RIP Iggy Pup. Peace.
Strangely, we got a write up in Relix magazine. Some of my responses don’t really make sense without the context of the question that was asked but there you go.
Our drummer Phil on tour in the UK with @chimeschool.bsky.social and a large bottle of Bucky
Hiya everyone! On a bit of a following spree just now… if you’re new to us, this is a video from the New Town Dream LP we released earlier this year. It’s based on a “ripped from the headlines” true story from the Wishaw Press. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVvrvPamyhU
Our next show is at the historic 4Star Theatre in San Francisco. $10 cover. Flyer by @slumberlandrecords.bsky.social
