I don’t even know any more. Is this any good? I think I need to replace my drybrushes soon.
I also picked up the last couple of bits I needed for my stormcast 1k list, and the project is starting to swell out of control again - I should really paint up a unit or two and get this back out of the backlog list.
Nearly done with my kommand krew, trying to decide what to paint next. A batch of grots would be practical, but the dakkarig is calling to me…
Been all over the place travelling for work and family so it’s been nice this week to finally get back to chipping away at my Ork backlog. Here’s a lovely wip git wiv a lovely banna.
The warband as a whole is starting to get some real teeth behind it, from a numbers point of view. I’ve probably over invested on goblins and squigs competitively speaking, but who doesn’t want barely controllable team killing murderballs in their vanguard?
Not super happy with these, but boys always come online when the mob is bigger. 18 to go!
Made some really rapid progress on these Armageddon Intercessors - arguably too rapid, as I’ve made quite a few sloppy mistakes at all of the stages. Going to slow things down and do smaller batches for the rest once these are done.
Last time sharing this one. It’s now based, and I have finally finished an Armageddon model!
The warboss is 99% done! I just need some Elysian green and moss tufts and he’s ready to waaagh! What Armageddon model should I paint next….
I also gradient primed every non character/vehicle space marine in the box. I’m being challenged to batch paint them all at once…and I’m tempted.
Absolutely slogging my way through this heat to try and finish this model. I’m almost done now, just some hazard stripes, cleanup, transfers and basing - but I’m stuck on how to paint the Banna. Banners and capes are a painting weakness of mine. Weapon is shaping up to be one of my best yet!
Made a little progress the last few evenings. It’s just so, so hot, painting is a real challenge!
It’s like they _knew_ I was playing Mordheim with the orcs. Give. Me. Da. Pig.
I also can’t get over how huge da new warboss is. Im going to be starting my Armageddon painting with the marines, but I don’t think I’ll be able to resist the boss here for long!
Having a blast building my Armageddon box tonight. Unusually for me, I’m keeping most units as they come - but I already have enough foot captain models….so with a little bits box rummaging, I thought a jump captain would spice up the _amazing_ new vanguard vets!
Rolled Chance Encounter last night, took home a win but it was a close and costly one. Tried to offset my lower numbers with a good old fashioned waaagh charge, and took down the largest melee threat pretty quickly by mobbin him with boys and Squigs.
Aaaaand we’re done! The warband is now tabletop ready (until I spend my gold).
My heart still breaks everytime I take a warband picture and Grumlok isn’t in it. RIP, you were eaten by Saurus warriors who were inexplicably looting houses in Mordheim.
Not super happy with these, the humidity is messing with my paint consistencies - but 6 henchmen down, three to go! I wanna find a troll next!!
A little bit more work done on my new henchman groups last night. Three down, six to go!
I did a Mordheim test base last week - using crackle paint for the first time. It’s worked well, but it needs a bit more flavour.
Test model, not finished. I really need to start basing these fellas too.
My mostly painted Mordheim warband is now mostly-unpainted, as I’ve finally sourced and swapped my AOS proxies for more accurate old world models! Wish me luck.
Getting somewhere now. Needs a lot of small detail and a transfer pass but we should hopefully finish big gaz by launch day
Figured it was time to start clearing down my (small, I swear!) Ork backlog before Armageddon arrives - and who better to start with than the Beast of Armageddon himself! Laid down some base colours this evening, still needs some pizazz but we are starting to look okay?
Also played what is likely my last game of 10th and got bodied by Firestorm salamanders. Statchecked by a vehicle heavy list, lost a third of my army t1, and massively misplayed key units T1. Pulled it back with some good secondaries, but rolling nothing but 1s on T3 meant conceding top of turn 4.
