Latest read: Hopeless Necromantic by Shiloh Briar. Necromancer can't let go of the past. Tiefling soldier struggles to fit in. And they fall for each other. It's cute. Easy read. Feels like the author smashing their D&D characters together like a kid with action figures, in a good way. #books
The Last Contract of Isako by Fonda Lee (author of the Green Bone Saga) is a cool ass book. Futuristic sci-fi noir about contractors doing dirty work for the business elite. Main character accepts one last contract that puts her against a former protege. Conspiracies on top of conspiracies. #books

I think I owned the Forgotten Realms 3e campaign setting before I owned the PHB. The first campaign I played in was 2009 in Cormyr. I stuck to the Realms for my first DM'd campaign a couple of years later. My copy is still littered with sticky notes.
Just wrapped my latest read - The Tapestry of Fate by Shannon Chakraborty. Fun high-seas fantasy adventure of a reformed pirate captain caught between motherhood and mystical responsibilities. This is the second book, about as good as the first and leaves a good spot for the next.

Free comic book day this past weekend was a success. The whole family got a bunch of free books at local places Infinite Realities and My Parents Basement. Also picked up the first volume of Absolute Wonder Women. #freecomicbookday
Initiative is simple. You can decide to do a fast turn or a slow turn depending on the number of actions you want to take or their complexity. Fast PCs go first, then fast NPCs, then slow PCs, and finally slow NPCs.
The set is well stocked. An adventure, pregens, quick rules reference sheet (I'll print more, one for each pregen), grid maps, dice, and initiative cards.
I got the Cosmere RPG Stormlight Starter Set on Independent Bookstore Day. It's a d20 system with some plot dice mechanics to add opportunities and complications, but nat 1/20 also add complications/opportunities, so you bank them pretty quickly. #cosmere #stormlightarchive
