When it's super stuffy I've taken to sleeping on a mattress in the dining room/library. Tonight is one of those nights. Dolly is ALL IN
I didn't watch the game, but my horse is from Spain so I assume when I tell her tomorrow she'll give a good side eye.
So today I saw this rose bush and I never imagined roses came in this colour (and I'm a bit of a rose nerd!). I gasped. This thing is the same colour as Leo. So my dear boys are going to be underneath this beautiful rose.
That's what I'm sitting on right now. This lattice keeps busy pants from terrorizing the neighbours.
They were huge and not at all intuitive, to me anyway. But I am a big fan of a good secondary block when things are put together.
Oh found another one. This was from a batik jelly roll I bought when I was first starting that I hated looking at. I think this counts! This is the Antique Lace pattern I got from a MSQ video. I've never sworn as much as I did with these blocks.
I intended to do a 2 colour quilt but needed a shot of something else at the last minute:)
Face of a cat 2 seconds before she launches into zoomies, coffee table clearing, and dog harrassment.
From the waiting room when I had X-rays done earlier this year.
We have big plans for yardwork today but first I drink all the coffee and Dolly naps in her own chair on the porch.
Finally found something that works on the horses. Very happy about that!
I can't even remember what these header things are called but these make this app wildly better than any of the rest.
I started quilting this today and I'll tell its sad story sometime this week. But in technical terms this was my first curved log cabin and I think it might be my new favourite quilt block. Maybe most of all because I finally twigged that you actually don't need to cut strips to length!
This is my second email to my MLA's assistant. I could get in shit here but I'm out of fucks to give
Digging thru boxes of paperwork coughed up this and holy hell I'm stoked to dig in
Top done! Opted against on point and just put sashing on. Colours don't really show up well in this photo but it makes very happy. I can't wait to quilt this. I forgot how satisfying simple can be.
If you see a horse (or cow) like this in the winter they're doing REALLY WELL. Seriously. This is a good sign. I just put them in for the night and Wilson here wasn't happy about it.
This is about as angry as Dolly gets. The booties (that I made myself!) lasted roughly one minute.
25 big 9 patches done and I feel as much like cutting these up again as I feel like going out for a pre-storm supply run. I may just add sashing and put these together on point. (I think disappearing 4 patches make nicer quilts than 9 anyway). Either way stash a tiny bit busted! WWYD #quiltsky ?
Okay I've decided this is for me, which I don't do very often, and the colourway is chaos. I'm hoping this inspires my future wall colours. My best quilt helper agrees
The beans are having a hail Mary moment in the pressure cooker but the bread is gooooorgeous.
This is going to really help with the charm pack collection! (That's completely out of hand).
