I hardly ever buy new comics these day, but I did enjoy the new Concrete, just a shame it has a typo on the very first page and another a few pages later. I know Dark Horse isn't the company it used to be and this might be the result of editorial cuts, just jarring to see in a much loved book

Yesterday's charity shop haul. Elvis vs Peaches vs Massive Attack. The Peaches record is a single that plays at 33. After the tune there is about 20 minutes of applause. The Valentine mag is from 1960, and as well as lots of pop pics, also has comic strip adaptations of two hit songs of the time
The saddest and most extraordinary story in the paper is this court report of a man dangling a five year old boy over a motorway bridge because, he claimed, the boy had asked him for money to watch his car. The sheriff accepted the story and he was fined £10. All this late at night in a pub car park
20 year old Gordon Strachan (with moustache) signed for Aberdeen. He would stay there for seven seasons, winning the SPL twice, as well as the European Cup Winners Cup and Super Cup and the Scottish Cup three times. He retired from playing 20 years later

Power cuts were expected due to industrial action. In these electricity board adverts you could look up what times you would be affected. Prestonpans is in group Y1 so would have been most at risk during peak times on Tuesday and Friday with no service on Sunday afternoon
Plans were afoot to limit growth in Livingston in an effort to revitalise inner Edinburgh. Livingston is now about four times as big as it was in 1977. Not sure what effect this had on Edinburgh. I don't think the petro-chemical works at Cobbinshaw ever went ahead

Teatime stop on the Loanhead Railway Path. Lang Loan was a mistake. Last time I followed the railway path under the bypass to the Straiton Pond Nature Reserve which was much more pleasant
