I modified an old Olympus point-and-shoot digital camera that I pulled out of storage to be full-spectrum (or at least the maximum frequency range the tiny sensor is able to register). Camera is very sensitive to infrared wavelengths now so I've been taking plenty of test shots.

A tree whose leaves appear white in infrared light is on the left side. The upper portion of a nearby roof is bottom center and a stained-glass window ornament is upper right. Also visible are multiple power lines running diagonal across the image. A section of sky in the upper left is dark with thin white clouds, giving a sense of motion.

A visible red filter was held in front of the camera lens. Also, the window is quite dirty.

making things for archery

Pictured on the grey-white background of a blanket is a custom-made wrist sling for use in archery. The sling is made from a purple-colored flat paracord and features a rainbow-colored titanium bead and a purple spring-loaded cable adjustment mechanism. The wrist side of the sling is on the left and the thumb side is on the right. Both loops face upward.

Not long now until Integrity splashdown! #Artemis2

Section 4 of the 25th Amendment has this lovely phrase that appears to give Congress as much say as it wants in determining the fitness of POTUS. It’s not exclusively at the mercy of a sycophantic/complicit Cabinet. Should Congress ever be so inclined. constitution.congress.gov/constitution...

It's Thursday evening and I'm nearly done with the third module. Still have lots of reading to do in the next five days. And flashcards. I don't have enough flash cards. But I did take a break today to learn the basics of a new-for-me (but Viking Age old) fiber craft with my lovely new lucet.
