WednesdayBookClub, where we talk about books.....On Wednesdays. Do no harm, take no nonsense. Secretly juggling geese. She/her
Who I suspect dragged her mom there because the mom was a little flustered lol. My team won with the least amount of piece remaining and one of our prizes was taking some books that were for sale hom for free!! I picked up some books for Gizmo (my great nephew). I also picked up their calendar 2/
They also have these really cute backpack that are convertible in case you're a wheelchair user and I absolutely will be buying one at the end of April. I've fought the temptation for long enough and I'll finally have the money to get it!
Forgot to add this but Gizmo, our self care icon, read Goodnight Moon.....Upside down and for about 30 seconds and then started running again.
Also finally finished the scarf wrap thingy!! I need better pictures of it. I was super tired when I took this pic. Also headband! 6/6
Working on the hood and I'm seething. Pen for scale I HATE EVERYTHING!!
Also, we're about 60 rows away from the scarf itself and then I have to do the hood. We're nearly at yarn chicken and seeing if I need to use the new skein of yarn I bought yesterday. I doubt it but place your bets, gang
Okay, I procrastinated on taking a nap and I'm about to lay down BUT I wanted to show progress of my knitting WIP I'm nearly at the point where I have to decrease for the scarf part (Also I'm too tired to do the alt text so if you feel compelled to write it from me, please do so)
So I just saw this on IG and this is rather close to what we have here and um....do I have a cult? Surely not, right? *Ignores growing whispers that sounds suspiciously like "Murderbot" and "Girl Dune"* It's fine!
Also, I promised pics of my WIP so tah-dah!! I'm nearly at the point where I'm doing to back which is kinda splitting it in half.
Also update on knitting project! I got started on it Friday afternoon and currently at about 17 inches (44cm). Loving the colors so far and still very excited about it
Meanwhile, Jamie Cullum is 5"5' and is married to a 6ft tall model. Sir, if you don't have a personality, you could have just said so!
.......I was gonna let the "Slytherin" in the bio pass until I saw they're actively still writing HP fiction. Absolutely not. Blocked
I also started the The Spy who Came In From the Cold by Ally Carter. Only about 5 percent in but our leads have hot chemistry together and I can't wait to see their enemies to lovers bloom. I also picked up another arc from NetGalley but I haven't started it yet so only 1 pic for this so ha!
I never got to finished Rogue Network before it was due back so I'm finishing up that this week. I'm also gonna shoot for finishing up The Murder of Mr. Wickham. I'm feeling my love of regency period dramas coming back so I might watch some Gaskell this week.
ALRIGHT, IM READY!! So I started Benjamin Stevenson's Everyone this Christmas Has a Secret. Ern continues to be an idiot but I'm curious if the writer will continue ride the line of "Stupid but understandable". This time, his ex is the suspect of murdering her new rich partner. Only about 15% in 1/
Literally kidnapped and forces herself to fly under the radar. Only has power when someone else (Usually a man) loans it to her. Literally starts the show at the lowest position in the palace. UGH, you're right!
You know what's the fastest way for me to never watch your video essay on how to write women characters? Putting Legend of Korra and Captain Marvel in your thumbnail Seriously, even if you have valid points, I'll never know because STOP BEING WEIRD ABOUT CAPTAIN MARVEL AND KORRA!!!
Really annoyed about that I complained about struggling to find a water bottle I liked because everyone's obsessed with Stanleys only to find one I liked in store. Reader, I SCOURED online shops to find one that wasn't insulated, didnt have those timestamps on the side and had a wide neck
And on the flip side, we have this absolute beauty, putting everything on the tin, even if you ignore the title. Not here to catfish teen readers or people who don't read paranormal romance. Chef's kiss
For me, it's less "Won't someone think about the children?!" And more of transparency. Good movies regularly flop because of bad trailers/not advertising to the right audience and its the same here. Cuz this book is apparently a shifter romance and ????? Nah, straight to jail
Note: these isn't quite ot and this isn't me knocking the Grande Dame Robert's but these style of cover just bug me for some reason
