Higher res uploads of the pregnant not-quite-a-lamia drawn last year, since they're tangentially related to some day that I certainly have nothing to do with- Story for these drawings is back on the original post: bsky.app/profile/ninl...
Something else with Aiyana: I did a centaur anatomy study with her in 2017, including skeleton, muscles, & organs. Far from the first centaur anatomy study, but they all differ slightly. I kept reduced human hip bones because many muscles anchor to it, and went with double lungs for more capacity.
With it being the year of the horse, it's about time we got a new Aiyana drawing. And with the weather heating up, a modern-alt swimsuit felt appropriate. Bonus kicking version included: Those centaur foal can be some little menaces, as the beach seems to have gotten them excited. #pregnantart
With the recent Eliza piece, it's worth mentioning that I had made another animated PoV before, through Anaesi's eyes. The original had water sound effects, but unfortunately isn't compatible on this site, and the video's master file was lost to an old computer. It's still available on DA though.
Eliza, but from her point of view as her and Katylin share a quiet moment together, with some slight disturbance from within the womb.
Having the entry-level game engine be designed for multiplayer is not doing any favors in this regard. Also the creature sim genre in general tends to leave a lot to be desired. That said I'm harder to please than the typical gamer- ...or fetishist.
One last drawing featuring a Balloon Molly mermaid to wrap up MerMayternity. At a glance she may look double pregnant, but that fish belly is simply swollen with no organs inside. A peculiar trait they have been bred for, so they only know life in an aquarium, yet still wonder of beyond the glass.
Ever eager to please, Amaris plays the role of maid and delivers a meal prized by her people. However it reeks, as it's most likely fermented, given an aquatic species is unlikely to use fire. Amaris herself appears bothered; not by the smell, but by her own pregnant body lurking below the surface.
Something I really ought to be doing is building a library of 3D props. Take a more long-term approach to art and get some more Blender practice in the process.
It's time for the pregnant MerMaids of MerMays past to make their reappearance as I work on this year's MerMaid. Last year I missed it (apparently 2021 too), but can't let that happen twice in a row. Same drawings as last year's summary, but should be higher res now.
Overambitious like usual, but I got a pregnant mermaid drawing done. This one features a Sea Cucumber gal and her Pearlfish companion, plus a story blurb. Also this drawing uses a cutaway for a change, since #unbirth is part of this. For those unfamiliar, some Pearlfish hide in Sea Cucumber butts.
It's the month of May, and that means mermaids. Pregnant mermaids! ...Maybe. I only managed one drawing last year despite a head start, while I've barely even started this time. But my job schedule looks a little lighter, and I'm not trying to shade a jellyfish again, so hopefully I can manage.
I felt like drawing that previously previewed plant gal, so here she is. Though there's supposed to be another plant gal beside her that I still need to draw, then write up a proper introduction for their story. Can't let these plant gals' immobility stop me from giving them stories.
Since I'm still away from home, here's a bit of Nin pencil work for a change, something I rarely do when around my computer. My lines aren't very steady, so paper is usually reserved for roughly exploring ideas, but I tried something a little more refined this time. Also another plant gal.
The only Nin Easter drawing to date, featuring Astelis. Without being a big egg person, Easter hasn't resonated much with me. I don't think Astelis has been posted here yet, but she's pregnant with two babies, one in each breast, mmyep. Controlling monstrous plants is also her shtick.
A little bit about this design is that she has two humanoid bodies, but they share the same mind. The two bodies act like one, but some actions are specific to one or the other, such as one body being the one who looks, while the other body is the one who talks.
Vessel of Rebirth: A concept from 2024 ("possessed by a snail"), which I outlined a comic for, but then shelved it because the story & characters were lacking. I finally wrote out a proper backstory, which helped figure out the characters, but am still going to write this project off as scrapped.
Today I took a shot at designing the bioship for my game concept. Rather than going for a taur-style body like usual, I tried blending the human and monster bodies, resulting in this atrocity. The game concept has been coming together, though there's the big IF regarding if it's actually any good.
Felt like drawing action, but ended up drawing part of a sequence which is still missing the beginning, so for now a preview will have to do. She's an older boss monster, but should be recognizable from this alone- for those familiar with it. ...Still haven't figured out a good story ending though.
"New hardware calls for a new fit." After running for 8 years, I decided it was finally time to upgrade to a new computer, and broke it in with this drawing of Enamtila. (Who's both my artist avatar and the personification of my computer.) "New hardware" is a gen behind- But still a huge jump.
Aiyana also has the honor of being my only character with a VTuber rig, though it's way outdated by modern standards. She graced the screen back when I used to stream. Sadly haven't had a use for the rig since, since I make for a terrible streamer. Not pictured: AFK mode dreaming of carrots
The previous Year of the Horse was when I made Aiyana, and now that we've looped around to it again I'd better do her justice. It won't be for a while though. Also damn I'm old... Anyhow here's her first drawing as a throwback:
"Haah... Haah... It's- it's just another day... don't worry about me- Ghh!" ----- While nothing explicitly said that she had to wait until Christmas to give birth, it had become an unofficial tradition to do so. Somehow she managed to hold on until almost 1AM, when the first baby ornament arrived.
It's Christmas Eve and unfortunately I've got nothing started for this year due to life circumstances, but at least we've still got the drawings from the past years. Just gotta put this year on the tab. I hope everyone's holidays are going well despite this ever chaotic world we live in.
A sweater meme, now available in big broodmother edition, featuring the nameless Demon Broodmother of mine. Having spent much of her life in a sunless chamber, she cherishes these experiences of the wider world around her, such as the colorful autumn leaves, even if it's no longer her first time.
With the Halloween drawing for Caelia, it made me notice that the previous Caelia & Lidiah drawing pre-dated my joining this site, so may as well drop them here as well. It might be a liiiittle lewd.
It's World Jellyfish Day? Gotta celebrate these beautiful creatures in my own messed up sorta way, with the four different species I've adapted into bellyful monster girls.
"L-Lidiah! That's too much, we're in public!" "One little lick never hurt anybody. Besides, since I'm an obese slug tonight, I may as well have a little fun acting the part."
