Today, the New Mexio State Canvassing Board convened and certified the results of four automatic recounts related to the 2026 Primary Election. Pursuant to state statute, automatic recounts occur in contests in which a candidate wins by a small margin. 1/3

Yesterday, County Clerks began sending mailed ballots to voters who requested them for the 2026 Primary Election. Voters who are choosing to vote by mail can also choose to utilize Ballot Scout, our ballot tracking system. To sign up, complete the form at sos.nm.gov/trackmyballot
In-person early voting at county clerks' offices begins tomorrow. Additional early voting locations will open on May 16th. Tomorrow is also the first day county clerks can begin sending out mail-in ballots to voters who have requested one. More info at NMVOTE.ORG.
