Why do I criticise religion?

Why I criticise religion!

Not because I hate gods, or because I seek to diminish anyone’s personal beliefs, but because I refuse to accept that unproven claims of divinity, no matter how widely held, should dictate morality, law, or social norms.

When Faith oversteps into coercion, when it demands my silence or compliance, or when it slanders and/or labels me for my rejection of belief, my honesty, my sincerity, it ceases to be a private matter!

My critique is a defense of reason, autonomy, and the right to live free from the imposition of dogma.

If your Faith brings you comfort, that is your right. But it is my right to reject, and to expect the same respect in return.

Only when we keep religion (and atheism) out of State and School, can we find peace.

ABRAHAMIC RELIGION is, always was & always will be ANTI WOMEN. Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, & Islam) have historically & institutionally NOT supported women, based on textual, legal, & cultural practices! Let's be HONEST about this!

Misogyny in religion

1.🔺 Scriptural Subordination– Texts (e.g., Genesis, Quran 4:34, Ephesians 5:22) frame women as secondary or subordinate to men.
2.🔺 Unequal Marriage/Divorce Rights– Men can initiate divorce unilaterally (e.g., *talaq* in Islam, *get* in Judaism), while women face restrictions.
3. 🔺Inheritance Inequality– Daughters often inherit less than sons (e.g., half in Islam, exclusion in some Jewish traditions).
4.🔺Exclusion from Leadership – Women are barred from religious authority (e.g., priesthood, imamate, rabbinical courts).
5. 🔺Bodily Autonomy Restrictions – Abortion, menstruation taboos, and virginity policing limit women’s control over their bodies.
6. 🔺Dress Code Enforcement– Women are required to cover hair/body (e.g., hijab, wigs), while men face fewer or no equivalent rules.
7. 🔺Education Barriers– Historical exclusion from religious study (e.g., Talmud, seminaries) and ongoing restrictions in conservative societies.
8. 🔺Violence and Punishment– Harsher penalties for women (e.g., stoning for adultery, honor killings) and interpretations permitting domestic discipline.
9. 🔺Economic Dependence – Dowry/*mahr* systems and work restrictions tie women’s security to marriage.
10. 🔺Social Stigma and Blame – Divorced women, rape survivors, or those defying norms face ostracization or victim-blaming.

The Holy Flying Elephant with five legs, six trunks and seven willies is far more amenable than any Scriptured god! The Elephant wins on honesty, as no one claims it’s real, so there’s no cognitive dissonance. The alleged, equally unproven Abrahamic God is full of contradictions and moral failings.

Stop Church Tax exemption! Why should Churches get tax exemption when most of their income is spent on Staff clergy, pensions, RELIGIOUS schools and parish operations (50–70%) Buildings and maintenance (20–40%) And only a very small percentage on direct aid. Some businesses spent more on aid!
