Fairy enthusiast. Miniaturist. Rainbow Lover. She/her. #resist Sometimes I don't have the words to articulate how I feel about all the atrocities so I reply with JFC. Radicalized by 1980's Sunday School.
Three years ago today I had a wee brain surgery. There is also an incision on the back of my head and I still can't lay on it without searing pain that feels like a blow torch. But I'm here. Trying to push aside the fact that I'll need another surgery eventually. Denial works for me. 🤪
I tried that thing where every time there's an explosion I say in a happy sing-song voice "boom boom" and give him a high value treat. So Dawg connects booms with nibbles? Doesn't really work. He's a hot mess and pretty sure he's picking up on my anger. Anyway big comfort hugs for Sassy.
My neighbors hate my shed and back wall of the house. They're the only ones who have a direct view. I love this journey for them.
As a miniaturist I thought WHAT A GREAT IDEA. Obvs someone already thought of it. LittleObsessed.com
I made more miniature books, all hand bound blank pages. When I can't really do anything else I'll sit in bed and cut pages. When I feel better I'll go out to my studio and glue the bindings & covers. Needless to say I have thousands of tiny books.
Dawg had a day. He doesn't love the vet. But his labs came back good so he doesn't have cancer or anything major. Just his arthritis and old age. He's almost 9 and it's giving me the sads. Best. Dawg. Ever. ❤️
I got a new dress. It's so versatile I can wear it to a fancy tea party or a casual pub meetup! I don't actually do either but I can't admit it was an edibles-hit-hard purchase so I'm committed.
One of his buckets. We need to take them back to the park and give them to a coach but Dawg can't SEE this act of betrayal.
Dawg walks every day at a nearby park that has baseball fields. His favorite hobby is collecting stray balls. Dawg is living his best life.
Sometimes it's all just too much so you hide away from everything and make a miniature 4" Vegan Witch display with tiny spell candles labeled Peace and Justice. Honestly if I didn't have my wee studio I'd be curled up in the fetal position all day.
SW Washington peeps! I'll be at the LV Dark Market this weekend with my magical miniatures. I've never been to this one, so it'll be an adventure. Come say hi!
My daughter is flying to Anchorage tomorrow and then home to the village the next day so let the mom frets begin. I'm fretty.
Wish I could take credit but all of mine kept shooting out new stems and when the flowers wilted I just removed the old stems. Got my first one in November and this pic is March, second bloom. Those baby stalks at the bottom grew and bloomed. ❤️ This year I might try transplanting outside.
I never meant for these dioramas to compliment each other. One is a dark witch room, the other is a vegan witch so lots of plant based items. Also I think I win most difficult pic to ALT text. 🤪
Today in the miniature studio I made a witchy shelf. She's a VEGAN so no animals harmed. Only ethical potion ingredients were used. 🤪
My usual offering: a witchy shelf filled with books, candles, smudge sticks, plants, runes, and more. I had fun wood burning the shelf and adding a dark stain. ❤️ I'm getting ready for a huge "Dark Market" where my people will gather for some magical fun. (The shelf is 5 inches tall) #NightMarket
I made a tiny thing. Not my usual miniature adventure, but strong nostalgia. Getting so excited to see a cookie tin at my Granny's only to open it and find a sewing kit. ❤️🪡
Trying to relive this moment of calm but it's not working in a messy house with sideways rain and near freezing temps. Dang that was a good moment.
