This POS was on a tour through the lobby of an Austin hotel I stayed at on 7/14. I recognized him bc of this thread. He made a non-funny joke about the rainbow ATX decor (see photo) the hotel had up for Pride. I made a derisive laugh at him & the 2 young people w/him looked duly embarrassed. Creep.

We are an organization of women and allies simultaneously changing the story Americans tell about women, contesting the laws being used to subjugate them, and supporting survivors – all while threatening the careers of the men and institutions responsible.

Cheyenne Hunt is the Founder and Executive Director of Reckoning Action. She is an attorney, organizer, and advocate who has spent her career at the intersection of law, policy, and movement-building, moving between the courtroom, Capitol Hill, and the United Nations in service of justice and human rights. The daughter of a single mother and the descendant of Syrian refugees, Hunt was the first in her family to graduate from college, earning dual degrees in political science and public policy before going on to UC Irvine School of Law. On Capitol Hill, she became a law clerk for Senator Amy Klobuchar's office, working with the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Since May 2025, Hunt has served as Executive Director of Gen-Z for Change, one of the country's leading progressive narrative change and advocacy organizations, mobilizing the largest generation of voters in American history through creator networks, coalition campaigns, and a sophisticated command of how political narratives are won and lost in the digital era.

In April 2026, she helped break one of the most consequential political misconduct stories in recent memory. Working from a group chat with two other women, she helped force a sitting seven-term congressman out of a gubernatorial frontrunner position and his congressional seat in eleven days, reigniting a national conversation about power, accountability, and the women who have been bearing the cost of both for far too long.

She founded Reckoning Action because that fight deserves a permanent home.

It's apropos to see this chart—which someone pointed out polled all voters, not just Dem or left voters, so baked into the response are right wingers—on the day Rev Jesse Jackson passed, and so people are sharing these wise words from his '88 DNC speech. The juxtaposition speaks volumes.

I'm often asked, "Jesse, why do you take on these tough issues? They're not very political. We can't win that way."

If an issue is morally right, it will eventually be political. It may be political and never be right. Fanny Lou Hamer didn't have the most votes in Atlantic City, but her principles have outlasted the life of every delegate who voted to lock her out. Rosa Parks did not have the most votes, but she was morally right. Dr. King didn't have the most votes about the Vietnam War, but he was morally right. If we are principled first, our politics will fall in place. "Jesse, why do you take these big bold initiatives?" A poem by an unknown author went something like this: "We mastered the air, we conquered the sea, annihilated distance and prolonged life, but we're not wise enough to live on this earth without war and without hate."

One day last year after listening to that song I decided to jump on Canva and try to bring to life what a body like Arnold with a Denzel face would actually look like.

Arnold Schwarzenegger as Conan the Barbarian, shirtless with long hair and a sword is in the foreground.
