Secret Welding Project revealed! I built a huge ass flaming hoop on a staff prop for Dreamspirit Dance for the Harstine Hoopla festival. And then they decided to have me be the one to wield it in the show! Happy Pride Month yall, I’m a flaming pink pony girl!

This is the most defined my muscles have looked since I was like a teenager or something. Sure I might sometimes walk with a cane, but I ain’t weak.
I welded a small bending jig, and then bent two chunks of metal and welded them together to make a heart. The kiddo claimed the heart before it was even cool, I literally had to toss it in a mud puddle to cool it off faster for her.
I eventually just admitted I have weak baby skin so use baby shampoo.
Plasma cutter was so fun! I wanna get one, but they are rather expensive yeesh. My fav thing I made so far is a huge six sided die. Most of the rest of the stuff I made was with the colleges metal which they keep for recycling, we could only take home stuff made with metal we brought in.
I made a kindling splitter my last day of welding class. Can also take it apart and use the blade as a zombie apocalypse weapon.
The corn propaganda is coming from inside the house! The kiddo is reading a book talking about corn! Nooooo! 🤣
Another evening of welding class, it was fun. I’m not particularly good at it or bad at it, really middle of the pack in the class, which I’m cool with. I can tell I’m getting better, and it no longer startle scares me.

Changed spark plug, changed oil, changed fuel filter, added a secondary fuel filter, cleaned the fuel tank, wiped down the inside of the engine, replaced the carburetor. Dang old wood chipper just about got a full overhaul. And it was a success! Feels good to turn a wrench.
Camping this weekend, starting last night. It’s at the edge of the wilderness, it’s well lit up and I dragged an extension chord so I have power in the tent. Just don’t wander too far outside the light at night, or the forest will get ya.
