As with Waymo, Meta is trying to hide behind the needs of those with disabilities when defending their products. Since CA schools have banned phones, it should be an easy sell to forbid these products: futurism.com/artificial-i...
This type of predatory pricing should be illegal. $50 for Plan B is another example of our failed healthcare system. Photo taken at walgreens checkout line.

Former Chief of Staff for SF BOS Dean Preston helped delay affordable housing development with 130 units in Livermore (suppose to break ground decade ago), and now it is the city with largest increase in homelessness in Alameda County (24% increase from 277 to 343). sfstandard.com/2026/06/01/h...

It would be cray and ironic to see Wiener lose to Chan or Chakrabarti because he lost this year's battle with PG&E, tech, and fossil fuel companies

You'd think that SF's lower senior voter clout would help with housing issues, but there doesn't seem to be a correlation between younger voter clout and more housing being built. Maybe it does influence transit/bike infrastructure....

This project would open up most of Berkeley and Oakland to a less than 60 min ebike ride to downtown SF. I cant imagine how many folks would do this commute via ebike.
New mountable roundabout installed at Ninth and Parker in Berkeley. Its unclear why they chose this design over tried a true planter-bed roundabouts. These mountable options always seem to need ostensibly temporary cones on top for cars to see…I suspect the Fire Marshall was involved In the process
Oakland’s New Parkway Theater is considering locations for expansion, particularly in the Berkeley area. They should strongly consider leasing/acquiring the Albany Twin which shuttered several years ago but has a devoted base wanting to see it reopen: www.sfchronicle.com/entertainmen...
