Another German tomato tonight with a nice balance of acidity and sweetness. The recipe for the sandwich is simple, good white bread that won't disintegrate, mayo (Duke's for us) salt and pepper. The cobbler was peach, blueberry, and blackberry. The ice cream Tillamook. It was all delicious

What is your favorite cold sandwich with a tomato aside from a BLT? Mine is Ham and Swiss on sourdough with just mustard on my Duke's mayo. Not sure what this tomato was. While it wasn't a Cherokee purple, it was absolutely delicious and obviously a heritage variety of some sort.
