A victory to celebrate! I was not expecting the Flip Wilson reference in the opinion

That argument brings to mind, for someone of my generation, the great comedian Flip Wilson, whose character "Geraldine Jones"would excuse her behavior by saying, "The devil made me do it." That excuse did not work for Geraldine Jones, and it does not work for the Government. There is no distinction to be drawn here between the Government and ChatGPT. ChatGPT was the Government's chosen instrument for purposes of this project, and DOGE's use of AI to identify DEI-related material neither excuses presumptively unconstitutional conduct nor gives the Government carte blanche to engage in it.

Stand right, walk left
If you're on the escalator and not walking, you stay to the right. Simple as that. One user noted it tends to break down come June when tourists arrive — "they'd otherwise use an escalator maybe once a month" — but among locals, it's treated as something close to law.

Fascinating connection between the current #Greenland fracas and the US Virgin Islands (where I live). The current President apparently agrees with the NYT and Admiral Peary that the US lost out by excluding Greenland from the 1916 deal for the purchase of the Islands from Denmark.

"To most persons it would seem, we think, that $25,000,000 for the three small Danish islands is a remarkably big compensation without any reference to Greenland. That provision appears to have been merely a generous concession of rights concerning, which Americans in general have little knowledge and apparently little interest."
