It’s sad that scarcity has made them so expensive these days, and a lack of backwards compatibility have made it so that even if you did buy them you can’t play them on “modern” hardware. I bought a GB Operator so I can rip my old GB/GBA games and transfer my saves to an emulation handheld.
I got my son some Little Tykes mario characters, he’s had no exposure to Mario before. Within second Mario was jumping on everyone else’s head, Bowser was yelling “I’m going to eat you!” And Mario jumped onto the pipe of our portable air-con unit and slid down it… How does he know?

In the Darksun subreddit on a post asking to ban AI art, someone has pointed out that AI is effectively defiling magic. Darksun is a D&D campaign setting where there are two forms of mages, Preservers and Defilers. Defilers absorb magic from the world around them, killing plants etc when they cast.
