That methodological note is *wild*… What even is an ‘illustrative’ sample size? If they chose to increase it, would the imaginary sampling error go down? (!?)
Just wish he’d gone with ‘spannered’ in the factories, for the full set of ‘tools as past participles’…

Ah yes: I’m already a fan (I read it with my [Calvinesque!] youngest at bedtime, but hadn’t seen that one. Here’s one of my favourites:

Courtesy of my youngest’s enthusiasm for biking/scootering, I’ve spent the last few hours in a skate park. Not my usual scene, but it feels like such a creative environment: great music, painting, sculptures (and sculptural ramps), style, playfulness, kindness and community. Also: time to read… ;o)

My guess is it’s the skeletal remains of the patella from a troll-like creature, finally explaining the etymology of ‘Orkney’…
