Thinking of this quote as news comes in overnight that the beautiful area of heathland just down the road from me is now burning. It’s unsurprising, hammock camped over night there last week and it was an absolute tinderbox in the woods.

Lovely walk in the sun at Lound Lakes nature reserve this morning, did the soul good to get out early in the sun. Buzzards and kestrels out flying with their young’uns, dragonfly’s & butterflies all over. Raucous birdsong in every tree and reedbed.
