The "subway" refers to this little underpass that connects the current zoo parking lots along the Woodland Park Loop to N 57th St. A real subway would have been cool though.
If they were actually serious about climate change, Tree Action Seattle would be fighting to mitigate the negative effects of carving SR99 through Woodland Park. But you won't hear them advocating restoring and reconnecting the park and neighborhoods.

While implemented to deter gun violence, the restriction of car traffic on N 100th is also a big safety improvement for pedestrians and bikes. This block of N 100th is part of a 2 block segment designated a neighborhood greenway that interrupts the healthy street for the convenience of cars.
This morning SDOT closed N 96th, 98th, 100th, and 102nd to thru traffic on the west side of Aurora Ave.

The main issue with parking are employees that prefer to park for free in the neighborhoods because the UW facility and some other businesses near Meridian prohibit their employees from parking in their lots or charging for parking. Some Link commuters spill over too if the parking garages are full
