New podcast episode alert! I spoke with @spavel.bsky.social all about problem design, the downside of The Product Trio, and the dangers of using AI to skip, rather than accelerate, product thinking. All this and much more on your favourite podcast app, or find us on YouTube!
It's always fascinating seeing different podcast episodes ebb and flow, presumably as they get shared around and linked out. Here are the top One Knight in Product episodes from the last 7 days! 👇
London Product People! I run free, monthly product meet-ups. Fun, friendly and inclusive, these are great opportunities to get out and meet like-minded product people. No sponsors, no talks, no pitching, no selling, just cool people hanging out and shooting the breeze.
I've released a new podcast episode with Be Kaler Pilgrim, talking about her new "CPO Report", about how product leaders are(n't) set up for success in PE-backed organisations, & what leaders & PE investors should think about when trying to deliver on their value creation plans.
I've just released a new podcast episode with Petra Wille, author of "Strong Product People" as well as founder of Product at Heart. We went deep on what it means to be a product leader in the age of AI, what good product leadership looks like and how people can measure it. 👇
New podcast episode! I welcomed back @aprildunford.bsky.social to talk about her updated "Obviously Awesome" and all about product positioning in a world of AI. Check it out on your favourite podcast app or YouTube!
New podcast episode! @simplybastow.com was kind enough to take up guest host duties and interview me and @saeedwkhan.bsky.social about our recently-released research report, "The State of B2B Product Management".
B2B product management can hit different, but how different? @saeedwkhan.bsky.social and I were curious, and we wanted to find out, so we ran a survey towards the end of last year to find out. 425 people from 37 countries joined in and spent over 13 minutes giving thoughtful feedback 👇
Nothing puts me off a lead-gen agency faster than watching them put so little care into how they generate leads for themselves.
Pluribus Season 1 - interesting plot, great cast, wonderful performance by Rhea Seehorn. Yes, it's a slow burn at times, but the atmosphere and the attitude carry it through. Watch it and be impressed!
We're running this free workshop next week on "Handling Sales Feature Requests for B2B Product Managers" - come! maven.com/p/ebcc0a/han...
Here's my new podcast episode with Tim Herbig, product management coach and author of "Real Progress". Tim thinks too many product teams are making "Alibi Progress" and wants to help teams make real progress by helping them identify where they're getting blocked up.
I've had an interview with Georgie Smallwood, CPTDO (!) at Moonpig on the bucket list for a while, and I was delighted to sit down with her to talk about crafting human experiences, the realities of empowered product teams & leading product, tech AND data 👇 www.oneknightinproduct.com/georgie-smal...
🚨 New podcast episode + book launch 🚨 Delight isn’t confetti. It’s strategy! I'm personally delighted to have had the chance to sit down with my friend Nesrine Changuel, whose book Product Delight drops today, to unpack how products can win hearts as well as minds.
Out now! My "CPO Stories" episode with Katya Denike, Chief Product Officer at Holland & Barrett. We talked all about her journey into product leadership, the principles behind good product management teams, and the challenges of transforming a 150-year old retailer.
🌶️ Product Managers need to stop worrying about "being technical" and concentrate on doing their actual job well 🌶️ Are technical skills useless? No! Are they the whole job? Also no! You should be spending just as much time with users and business stakeholders as farting around with vibe coding.
Excellent point, and obviously you and I have spoken about this before. It reminds me of this slide from one of my talks... Product management started as a commercial, strategic role and the over indexing on technical skills and task management has severely diminished the role
