Our cobbled-together-at-the-last-minute eclipse observatory; colander for aperture, chopping board as a screen. It worked really well! Sunshine (2007) #AlphabetChallenge #WeekFforFilms

Swallow Falls, Betws-y-coed, Eryri, Wales 🏴 A precise configuration of water molecules that existed only for the time it took to capture the image. Never before, never to be repeated. #WeekEforEphemeral #AlphabetChallenge
Follow up to the above: I have no clue what this is meant to be.
Some excellent stiles from a walk along the Afon Llugwy near Betws-y-coed the other day.
On the summit of Carnedd Llewelyn on Friday. Very hard work, it's been over 20 years since I last tackled a mountain route, and I may have over-cooked it a bit. Everyone survived, though, so let's just move on and put the day in the "success" column.
Today I learned an entirely new skill. I've no idea how I've reached this age, with this much time outdoors, and yet somehow I've contrived to never get into a kayak until today. Llyn Padarn, Llanberis, Eryri, Wales
The view from our holiday accommodation - pretty much all of the mountains of northern Eryri. Tryfan is, as ever, the obvious stand-out, with its Stegosaur silhouette.
A very tidy step stile on the way down to the A5 from Ffynon Llugwy reservoir. 13 mile, 7-hour day with a 3000ft peak, wild ponies, a crashed Canberra bomber, the highest body of water in Wales and a bunch of very tired young adults.
Huge view from the summit of Carnedd Llewelyn, Eryri, Wales
Alan Turing's windowless wartime office at Bletchley Park. Dark days, in every sense. #WeekDforDark #AlphabetChallenge
Beach after sunset, Nairn, Moray, Scotland #WeekDforDark #AlphabetChallenge
Holy Trinity Church, Coventry #WeekDforDark #AlphabetChallenge
Made-up simple risotto of onion, sliced chorizo, red wine, herbs, sundried tomatoes and veg stock.
Let the record reflect that I have paid, in full, on time.
Charlie would like to issue the regular reminder that your Cheese Tax is due.
The incredibly immpressive Falkirk Wheel canal boat lift. #AlphabetChallenge #WeekCforCurves
Had a visitor this evening. For clarity: this is not my crow.
