I am honored to share a birthday with President Obama, an amazing leader who is a million times cooler than Trump could ever dream of being. Cheers!
Hey, it’s my birthday! Gonna party like it’s my birthday! Happy birthday to me and @barackobama.bsky.social!
Please admire the beauty of these flowers. Take a deep breath. Find the strength to continue the good fight.
Seems relevant to both Sen. Paul and Sen. Moreno at today’s #COVID hearing with Fauci. Relevant to virtually any member of MAGA or the GOP at this point, really.
Hey, how’s it going? Updated report on Marin elitists on Nextdoor trying to convince people that more housing would be an unmitigated disaster. One guy seriously argued that additional development would be akin to being required to commit suicide. I wish I was kidding.
I know! It’s crazy, but the median income in Marin is really high.
Need a break from kleptocracy, corruption, and SCOTUS outrage? Enjoy this showy little male finch who showed up at my Birdfy feeder today.
Me, with both of my parents who have Alzheimer’s disease. No one should have to see both parents in this kind of mental decline.
Today is my dad’s 80th birthday AND it’s Father’s Day! He and my mom both have Alzheimer’s disease, but we had a lovely dinner with family and friends to celebrate last night. Happy solstice!
I haven’t lived in LA for years (go Bruins!), but I’m happy that stupid Spencer Pratt has not advanced to the general election as a mayoral candidate. Please enjoy this brief video of a gorgeous bluebird.
Why? Why are people (mostly men) like this about AI and billionaires? This take is so misguided that I shouldn’t have even bothered commenting. Also, someone spouting off on Joe Rogan is not the alpha move many men seem to think it is.
Sadly, my Kauai vacation has drawn to a close. On the plane, about to take off for California. This trip was a much-needed reset!
A vacation on the Garden Isle wouldn’t be complete without at least one rainbow sighting.
I am vacationing in Kauai this week, trying to find some serenity. Please enjoy this photo for a timeline cleanse.
a second duffel bag full of clothes (20 shirts, 1 pair pajama bottoms, 2 shorts, 0 underwear), 3 pairs of headphones, 3 nail clippers, 2 knives, scissors, a cigar cutter, a giant bottle of Advil, an oversized toothpaste, an extra deodorant, and an extra toothbrush charger that won’t work in Greece?
Ummm, how do I get back to the multiverse? Because while my personal life is thriving (hey babe, hey friends, hey lush garden), I legit HATE this fucked up warmongering timeline.
My 11-year-old nephew is spending the weekend with us, so I didn’t think we’d go to a No Kings protest. But we took the ferry into the city to see the KAWS exhibit at SFMOMA, and there were hundreds of protesters aboard. And when we were walking to lunch, he saw the march and wanted to get closer.
Need a little cleanse for your feed? Please enjoy this video of a pair of house finches at my feeder! #birds
Look, sometimes you just need a tiny, squishy light-up dinosaur and a mini polka-dot plant to make you smile.
Post a pic you took, no context, to bring some Zen to the feed.
One of the saddest posts I’ve seen on LinkedIn. I hope it was overly dramatic to get attention. I’ll keep going to parties and prioritizing human connections over AI agents. And if I leave early, it’s because I’m having a bad time and would rather be with other people or home reading a book.
Proof that life can still be beautiful. Thanks for breakfast, #Google!
I am so excited to announce that I’ll be speaking at Growing In Content 2026! My talk will cover tips for surviving and thriving after a layoff.
Look for moments of beauty and joy right now. Otherwise, the ugliness of this time will seem unbearable.
It’s a few minutes to midnight on December 31, and I’m not sad to say farewell to 2024. While 2025 may not be promising on a political leadership level, I do hope for peace, joy, love, and laughter. Some financial security wouldn’t go amiss, either!
I’m working to strengthen my practice of gratitude, partly as an antidote to ever-present anxiety. I keep a list of good things that happen. This weekend, it was 73 and sunny in San Diego, and I got take some lovely walks. #goodthings
Here is our festive tree. My husband thinks we have too many ornaments. I say we have barely enough, and we should get more. Whose side are you on?
With my 10-year-old nephew at his first Warriors game. It’s his BIG birthday present. Steph is out with an injury, but we’re still having a good time!
