Super disappointing that GenAI was used for a graphic for many reasons (including being wholly unnecessary)… but in another summer with record high temps and wildfires everywhere, due in part to AI data centers, it’s a bit crude to use AI slop to celebrate working out under the sun.
@unklarity.bsky.social and I are now talking thru the cast list if the show were gayer. Inuyasha, Kagome, and Kikyo all being lesbians makes so much more sense
Watching a series that lies close to my heart while @mustachebabs.com is away. Such a dumbass pretty boy, my Inuyasha.
Happy Pub Day to @mustachebabs.com for To Dance the Moon and Stars!!! I’m so proud of you!
We’ve been doing some cleaning here and there and I came across a @baltimorebeat.bsky.social copy from November I’d been saving. This poem on the back is poignant to read again today.
It’s our engagement anniversary! Happy Pride to us! We got engaged at the National Aquarium and @mustachebabs.com had the whole thing planned out and was a total surprise to me.
I made plátano maduro frito for the first time today! Maduros are some of my favorite sides in Dominican food. I could eat them all the time.
Evening reading after a 2nd day of snow shoveling - with a drink of course!
On the left: “nothing is working. does not compute” On the right: “okay I may actually get this done AND feel okay gifting it”
I painted the print to match the textures from the model, which also references real life versions. (One is in the Walters collection here in Baltimore) It’s got little feet on the bottom! I’m really pleased with how the colors came out!
For @mustachebabs.com’s birthday this year, I wanted to make her a little guy. I’ve been looking thru online repositories of 3D scans of museum pieces this year, and found a recreation of an ivory netsuke sparrow fledgling. And I knew it was the ONE.
The face of a boy who wants belly rubs… And breakfast (even though he decided to in)
I was a pilot demon from #KPopDemonHunters for Halloween and so many kids and parents recognized me. It was very fun! One dad even wanted a picture with me!
I love the Lantern Parade. One of the best festivities of the year in Patterson Park! I’m always so glad to attend with @mustachebabs.com - I think we’ve pretty much made it to every one since moving here.
Here’s what the updates print looks like in action! We’ve got the table (518) for @mustachebabs.com all set up at Baltimore Comic Con
I forgot to take into account the depth of the stacked shelves though, so upon printing, we realized the design would need to be updated. I've updated the 3D file, and will be putting out a new print today (hopefully). Although I probably won't bother with the text for this run. [5/X]
Here's a picture of us testing IRL. I got the angles right for the main slot, and the stick seats well too! Overall, pretty happy with it, just wish I'd realized about material amounts while it was printing. [4/X]
I knew I wanted to make something that slotted over the backs of the shelves, and it had to be universal enough considering there were slight differences between the shelf types she uses. I started mocking up a design in Blender with the intention to print it out in resin. [2/X]
I finished my digital painting of my TTRPG character, Khenu. I’m really pleased with how it came out! It was really fun working in a softer style and messing around with different brushes in Procreate.
We went blueberry picking and alpaca petting today. It was hot as fuck out, but a good time was had regardless.
Here’s an updated WIP for this piece! I’ve still got the hands and some jewelry left to do, and maybe some minor touches. I’m really liking the soft shadows I’ve done and the blending, but I might paint a second version that feels more graphic
Our native hibiscus - the swamp rose mallow - bloomed this morning! I’m so glad to catch it (we’ve been out of town the last couple of years) and with so many blooms too!
Sneak peek of a WIP of my ttrpg character Khenu who has only ever really known life as an orphan. Yesterday, their patron brought them to their childhood home - which they only partially remember from their dreams. They found a water-damaged family portrait and their baby blanket.
We (@mustachebabs.com and I) made it AND got jerseys this year. Happy Pride from OPACY! #Baltimore
Still trying to work on Blender modifications to a specific mini, but the ones I wasn’t modifying have been printed! First official run after a calibration print!
