The camera has to rotate, due to its gimbal mount geometry. There is a mechanism called de-rotation that makes sure that the image on the screen does NOT rotate when the camera rotates. You can see that not just the object rotates, but also areas elsewhere in the image. .

DHS and FBI have recently concluded that there are no drones. It's just normal airplanes that have been misidentified. .

This is from annother "drone" video. People are just misidentifying normal approaching air traffic. .
