I took this video of my cat just now, let Telegram downsample it to 240p, then re-encoded it at a lower bitrate. Compare it with the other potato-quality AI videos and you can see what I mean. The quality is consistent all over and overall it feels real.
The bee houses are so full of little ones now. I'm so excited about this! I need to see about getting some wildflowers planted.
I put up some bee houses and the bees are loving it. Last year a woodpecker found them and cleaned them out, and absolutely destroyed one in the process. I bought the two blue ones and then constructed this cage to keep them safe this year.
Gee, thanks Claude. Pretend like I’m logged out, won’t show me the login form until I clear cookies, then say my internet is the problem. No, no it’s not. Your vibe-coded slop is the issue here.
OH BOY I SURE DO LOVE WAKING UP TO MY COMPUTER HARD LOCKING BECAUSE OF BAD RAM IN THE MIDDLE OF A MOTHERFUCKING RAM SHORTAGE. To be fair, this RAM is old, but I would have liked it if it did not decide to fucking shit the bed right now.
5 minute Blender tutorial on YouTube: "I'm gonna show you how to easily model this scene! Get a reference! Block stuff out! Buy my addon to model the next bit! Now add some doodads! By the way buy my doodads asset pack on Gumroad for this! Now model the rest of the fucking owl! See? EASY!" Me:
Holy crap. I just accidentally discovered this book’s covers glow in the dark. This is freaky and I love it.
I got this novel as a gift today. It's a very hefty book. It was nearly dropped in my lap and I commented asking if they crushed up a cinder block to put in the box. The box had a rather excellent message on it. Pretty much every single page has beautiful illustrations. I love this.
Me when Apple lets people now use custom ringtones and alert sounds, expecting them to use music and stuff:
I always knew that Nintendo were allergic to patch notes but this is getting awfully silly and looks lazy. If bugs were fixed just say that! But “improvements” imply things that directly impact my experience, like new or enhanced features, so I sort of expect to know what was improved.
I'm finding that I really like and even prefer procedural textures. Using just procedural noise I created a pretty good looking drop ceiling tile material (the squares are also generated from a noise texture). Downside is Godot doesn't like to layer materials well, but I'm learning to work with it.
I suck at making textures, so I'm trying procedural ways of doing things in #Godot. From first to last: pool/bathroom tiles, weathered paint with metal surface showing through, and weathered paint with pitted and rusted metal. All done with standard material settings and built-in noise textures.
I snapped a picture of a local grocery store and subsequently gave in to my inner photomanip demon.
I think my cat is part Saint Bernard. Jumped up on my bed as I was getting up because it was breakfast time and he was being all lovey-dovey to get me to come feed him. Proceeds to shake his head and sprays drool all over me. >.< Look at this dork. That's a face of no regrets.
A year ago I found an apple seed that had started to sprout inside of an apple. I guess it really wanted to grow so I planted it, and it went from a seed to sprout in about two weeks. Today it's still growing and when the Spring season hit this year it really took off.
