Yesterday was the first anniversary of my wife's passing. My three Cali daughters, along with various loved ones, headed to Oceano Dunes to mark the occasion. Some ashes may have been scattered in an act of dubious legality, but no one will confirm this.
This morning I was re-introduced to a major feature of the local flora: the goat's head sticker. Imagine stepping on a thumbtack.
