Even though convention season is already in full swing, it's not too late to spice up your booth. From table skirts and pop-up banners, to full pre-fab and custom booth designs, I'm no stranger to trade-shows.
It's time to tap the sign, and add a little variety while I'm at it. No matter what your project needs, I've probably designed it before. You can check out even more of my work at stgelaisdesign.com. If you're interested in working with me, shoot me a DM or email me at owen@stgelaisdesign.com.
Look what came in the mail today! It’s the original release and it still has the book! It’s practically in mint condition. And it cost me less than $20 on eBay.
If you'd like to get your hands on a copy and missed the kickstarter, late pledges are open at www.kickstarter.com/projects/tab... The game will also soon be available to purchase through www.tabcreations.com and www.drivethrurpg.com/en/publisher... Also, be sure to follow @tabcreations.com
Along with the book I needed to create the rest of the peripheral products. A GM screen, two decks of cards and custom poker chip were all styled to match the look and feel of the book and bring that gritty dark sci-fi feel to unify everything.
With the book funded, it was time to get to work. Over the next 4 months I was hard at work laying out the final book. The Quickstart was a beginning but there was still a lot of ground to cover. And it turned out really cool.
When it came time for the Kickstarter, we needed a lot of assets to get potential backers excited and communicate all of the bits and pieces. I created many mockups and headers graphics as well as all of the images for the stretch goals. The campaign was a huge success and funded over 5x the goal.
Along with the Quckstart Guide, I helped created the character sheet. What started with rought outline quickly took on life as I applied the aesthetics of the book and made sure each section was clearly readable and easy to reference.
After tackling the logo I got to work on a quickstart version of the game to launch ahead of the kickstarter. This process laid the groundwork for the look of the final book and saw the development of the sci-fi frame that featured the section readout on the right page.
For the logo update we wanted to create something versatile that really captured the dark sci-fi mood. After many sketches and drafts we settled on a treatment that uses stark white/black with the silhouette of an adrift astronaut against the O in Sol. It is both bold and a bit unsettling.
Weekly Project Spotlight: Shadows Over Sol 2nd Edition by @tabcreations.com A Dark science fiction tabletop RPG, unveiling a future of conspiracy and horror. I designed most of the graphics for this game and the kickstarter. If you'd like to see more of my work, check out stgelaisdesign.com

Trying to sell my broken VW on Facebook. Got 2 offers. One for $500 who’s coming to look at it on Friday. And one lowball from this fucker who thought he could bully me into taking $400 🤣 Gave him a 1 star buyer rating and reported his ass for verbal abuse. Alt text on the images. Typos included.
FINALLY making some real progress on my website! On track to actually FINALLY launch the damn thing next Friday. Posting it here so I’ll feel extra bad about it when I miss my own arbitrary deadline.
Making great financial decision today
Feeling pretty good today. Mayhaps even a little sexy. So y’all get a selfie whether you want it or not. Enjoy. Or don’t, you don’t have to listen to me, I’m not your daddy. …Unless you ask real nice 😜
Post a non-religious picture you think of as holy
Had the pleasure of meeting @orbitaldropkick.bsky.social this weekend. Got him to sign my copy of Lancer (one of my all-time favorite TTRPGs), and picked up a few volumes of KSBD in print (also signed 😁). An absolutely delightful human being.
Building Gunpla is an exercise in patience and focus. Building Gunpla either children will stretch both of those to the absolute limits. My Kids HGs are almost complete. Just weapons and peripherals. It only took 5 hrs. I’m beat. 😮💨
Though I suppose it’s moderately better than the one I almost made.
She’s finished! This is such a cool kit. So many details for an High Grade. And it’s one of the more stable HGs I’ve built too. I’m excited to build GQuuuux next!
Started Red Gundam a few days ago. Just finished the body. Still need to build the weapons, shield and bits. It’s a really cool bills but these tiny ass decals that don’t stay put will be the death of me.
My best friend of over 20 years has recently gone deep down the Gunpla rabbit hole and randomly sent me these kits to bait my poor ass into joining him. I can’t decide if he’s an amazing friend or an evil one. 😅
This is pretty damn cool. I’m right about where I thought I’d be. Not bad company to be in.
Okay Affinity, here we go. Kicking off a new layout project and trying to learn this software so I can tell Adobe to fuck right the hell off. There's a few features I miss, but so far I really like it.
Trying to wrap up Shadows Over Sol 2e this week. All the styles are set. All the copy is formatted. All the cross references are linked. All that’s left is to: •finish adding illustrations • adjust page flow • fix type errors • create table of contents • design cover Alright. Let’s do this!
I just created a rough, living, marketing plan on @obsidian.md and it feels really good. Everything is nice an organized and modular so I can iterate and keep track of everything and keep modifying it. I've been sleeping on this software!
