Bird is still spending most of her time inside her cage, playing with her two favourite shredding toys. Would it be cruel to put one or both of those toys on her parrot tree instead, so she has to come out to play with it? I don't want to ruin her "safe space" for her, but she needs more exercise.
No. Stop. Do not. Oh, what's the use? (Bird has a new, very noisy hobby: picking up her food dish and dropping it in its holder. Over and over. All day. She has so many toys! Why this?)
And here's the tattoo--forgot I'd saved it. Somebody found this picture "out in the wild" a while back, and didn't know whose tattoo it was, so I can't credit the artist.
When I was a kid, I used to draw antennae on everything--including, occasionally, other people's foreheads. This old ink drawing is a throwback to that. Somebody out there has a colourful tattoo of this, which is better than the original picture. I don't know who it is, though.
I've been trying not to spam Bird too much, but this is the bird I've been talking about (and to) lately. Her play area has been significantly upgraded since this GIF was made. I'm waiting for her flight feathers to grow back, so she can use it properly. (Didn't realise she'd been clipped.)
I don't have many GOOD pictures of birds in flight. I have a whole lot of FAIL ones, then these. (My attempts to catch a black swift in flight were just empty sky, so have some gulls. Far more my speed.) #birds
The bad-luck picture: 1) It's a picture of my ex-girlfriend. She dumped me, and I was left drawing her stupid butt 2) I've been hit in the head TWICE by this picture falling off a high shelf. It has a heavy oak frame. 3) Two people have inquired about buying this picture, then reneged.

This dog inspired a new game: "Dog or Not Dog?" This game is for people with poor vision. How to play: * spot a distant object that may or may not be a dog; * photograph that object with your phone camera; * zoom in on it and see if it's Dog or Not Dog.
Yesterday was World Parrot Day, and I didn't post a parrot! Today, I am remedying that with this picture of two budgies, which totally count as parrots. (It's not AI--the toes are on wrong due to human error. This picture is like 25 years old, and I wasn't familiar yet with budgie foot anatomy.)
I don't take a lot of pictures of this bird, because she doesn't like lenses or phones near her. But this was from a distance. I put perches everywhere, but THIS is where she sat.
Today's vibe is the way your mouth feels when you say "ouaouaron." Ouaouaron.
This is a drawing of a house sparrow, which I did some years ago. I like house sparrows. I've got an eye appointment next month, and I'm hoping for good news about my vision. I'd like to get back to drawing more. #birds

I'm not a great bird photographer--I don't get very close, and I don't have great vision. But gulls are so brash around humans, they'll land right next to me, allowing me to spot moments like this. #birds
Post the best picture you have ever taken of your pet. This is Rat B. (There was also a Rat A, but she wasn't as good at sitting for pictures.) Rat B was mostly blind, and had a habit of walking off my desk and into the dustbin.
I sometimes have a dream where I'm curled up in the feathers of a very large bird. IRL, I wouldn't like that. There would be mites. Also, the average bird is very dusty. In the dream, I love it, and never want it to end. #birds
I have, in my lifetime, introduced four people (that I know of) to Rogue/Nethack/ADOM. I've introduced so many people to birding, I've lost count. Birds are THAT brilliant, it's easier to get people to go out and look for them than to sit on their arse and play a computer game.
