That's showbiz, baby!TV producer, international trivia man, badass MC. Panellist on Radio 4's Round Britain Quiz.
Delighted to be taking over the reins of the Talk Media podcast for the next few weeks - stay tuned for an impending link of a brilliant conversation I had with the journalist Eve Livingston. Higho!
"Joke's on you, Prime Minister, we didn't know how much our big plan would cost!" The UK Labour Party home to some of the biggest losers on the planet
Today on Radio 4, the latest ep of our show Around The World In 80 Ways goes live at 4.30pm! You can also catch ep 1 on BBC Sounds. Really hope people enjoy!
RIP to Sam Neill, a brilliant actor who said what needed to be said about the excesses of Big Salted Caramel
Always makes me nervous when TV executives say things like this - it will almost certainly be unscrapped in three years time but repackaged as a visionary idea that could only come from today's searing genius in charge.
"But he admitted Labour had not given enough thought to how the world had changed since the party last took power in the 1990s." That has been the big and constant criticism of their whole thing and they constantly waved it away as a left wing griping, with great hostility!
While I find the Today programme as pompous as it is useless, I do agree with the quote in the second para here referring to the edict in the first. Why would a company that rather famously has a lot of air to fill and channels to put it in want to focus on (bad) channels it doesn't own or control?
David Andrews is dead. He won't like that...but seriously, I think the most glowing tribute I can think of is he's the only Defence Minister my soldier da ever had anything good to say about. He seemed a decent guy and a genuine political heavyweight. RIP.
Interprovinziale have won the Irish Quiz League double baby! What a season for the parish 🥳
Saw the B-52s last night and, as this picture of a massive lobster mascot suggests, they were delightfully magical and insane
Quick question: if the UK had strenuous border checks in 2023 when this alleged attacker got on this bus from Dublin to Belfast, what would they have had on him? Messing with the border is an accident waiting to happen and anyone half engaged or interested in northern politics ought to know that.
Fair play to Stephen and his family. I can't fathom the horrible thing that poor man has and will have to go through.
Malloch St felt a bit Lisa Loeb as I was leaving the place for good... farewell then, Fashionable Maryhill. I lived here, and I felt alive here. I'll miss you.
Wait a minute, I didn't tell you how we did at the buzzer quiz...WE WON! AGAIN! What an incredible few weeks for the parish!
Join me surfing the radiowaves at around 5.10 on Today FM with Matt Cooper as we have the last word on the week's trending news stories. Cowabunga dudes!
Mad that Burnham and by extension the UK is in the hands of someone so pink
During RBQ this year Val and I were queuing for breakfast and she was asked for her room number. The server took it and briskly went to seat us both. At this point Val went to great pains to say I also had a separate room number. Anyway see if we can beat the tabloid rumours on Radio 4 today at 4.30
Gotta be tough to lose your seat while standing beside a man dressed as a gannet
Wait a minute, I didn't tell you the Pop Culture Buzzer Quiz ended... WE WON!
BBC reports "Suleiman had been a patient at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust." I dunno dude maybe that should be part of your focus after three people were stabbed rather than sounding like a segregationist southern governor railing against The Revolution Will Not Be Televised.
