My God, the AI really is fixated on boxing gloves.
I don't usually look at YouTube's AI-generated suggestions for videos I should make, but I took a peek tonight and there was this: Boxing Glove Ballads: How to play complex piano arrangements while dressed as Strong Bad
For reference, here's Homestar Runner on a drinking glass.
I don't have the pipes for that, so I did this stupid Toto vs. Strong Bad mashup excerpt instead.
The Wikipedia article for "The Christmas Song" has three images. One is of the Nat "King" Cole single, one is of Nat "King" Cole himself, and the third is...a random dude roasting chestnuts on an open fire. It is even captioned "Man roasting chestnuts on an open fire." Wikipedia is the best.
If you're wondering what post finally put me over the edge, it was this one demanding escalation for their ticket in a public forum. And I guarantee this is not a paying customer.
A few of the signs at No Kings in San Francisco today. I wish we didn’t need protests like this as badly as we do but here we are.
The Sunday night homemade pizza traditionat the Trott house continues.
Here's a short rendition of Vince Guaraldi's "Theme to Grace" that I posted a year-and-a-half ago. Recently, someone asked for a transcription, so I put that up on Patreon. www.patreon.com/posts/theme-...
Tom Lehrer’s forward to Too Many Songs By Tom Lehrer.
(Thanks, Ethan! It continues to be the highpoint of my pianistic life that you had something kind to say about something I made!)
The Homestar Runner email list is exceedingly low-volume, but they sent a message today.
Come on, ABC. He *disputed* it. He most emphatically did not *refute* it.
Name a game with a 10/10 soundtrack. (Uh, I have an obvious conflict of interest.)
It looks like you got added to a list by @lukeocodes.dev about 7 hours ago.
I'm reading @natechinen.bsky.social's book Playing Changes and am compelled to listen to nearly every album he mentions. It means it's taking me a looooong time to get through the book (which would otherwise be a pretty quick read) but so worth it. I can't believe how much great stuff I've missed.
