Hi #motosky, what do we think about the Bear 650? Yay or nay? I had a very fun test ride today, great bike! The shifter placement felt a bit odd at first, but I got used to it pretty fast. Nice engine, not too powerful, but lively and with a nice tone. Great riding position for taller guys.
I had a phase of about 5 years in my late teens / early twenties when I had mild symptoms in spring, but luckily that sorted itself out. That’s what nature currently looks like around here, must be every allergic‘s nightmare…

Made a new Y cable for my heated grips and car play unit. Shrink wrapped everything. Final test. Continuity on „+“. None on „-“. Cursed. Sobbed. Cursed again. Was just about to strip the shrink wrap off when I found out that the battery of the tester had died. Phew! #motosky #motorcycle #vstrom
Great lesson on how not to do it: whoever crimped this cable thought it was a good idea to cram two cables into each side instead of properly slicing the cable. And then there was no more room for the sealing ring. Water crept in and corroded all four cables. #motosky
Found out today that it wasn’t the Garmin power supply that went bad… just the auxiliary power connector. There were two pairs of wire, for GPS and heated grips. When the heated grips stopped working on my last ride, I knew that I had to dig deeper into the wiring. #motosky #motorcycle
Looks as if the power supply of my satnav has kicked the bucket. Fuses and 12V in are ok, but no output. Two options: fix it for ~45€ (new power supply) or finally upgrade to a Carpuride CarPlay unit (160€ and up). #motosky #motorcycle (1/3)
