Spent the last 11-ish days driving around the Northwest US. One thing is clear: one of America’s greatest ideas is the National Park system.
To my eternal disappointment, I missed the odometer shot by one mile due to inattentiveness.
Here’s a handheld night shot from a recent trip to San Francisco. Not a great shot but it was unplanned, I just found myself walking along the cablecar line and set up a few photos because the camera wa in my sling bag.
I participated again this year and for the first time finished the Irish Readathon. We had six book prompts to guide our reading of Irish authors. Here are the six books that I read.
Well, turns out they pointed us to the wrong seats on night one and we found out today. We’re at the other end of the row - not quite as close to the hoop, but not a blocking view and sitting right next to the team bench. So look for us next to 15th man/woman on each team :-)

I very rarely read the acknowledgment for a book (unless I think I might be acknowledged :-)). These are the closing words from Stories are Weapons: Psychological Warfare and the American Mind by @annaleen.bsky.social . What a lovely way to end a very important and challenging topic.
Maybe this won’t calm my rage at Dem leadership in the Senate but I finally moved this to my currently-reading. Thanks for writing it @annaleen.bsky.social
