Call me crazy, but is anyone sexier than 1970s Charlie Brill? (He and his wife Mitzi were a well-known comedy duo, but Charlie is also known for Silk Stalkings, and to many Star Trek fans as Arne Darvin.)

See the alt text for an explanation, but here is a picture of exactly what's been causing my pain. This is apparently "severe" stenosis. The surgery on September 4 will replace the disc completely, so it will 100% relieve the pressing against the nerve and, therefore, the pain.

Two pictures of my spine. On the left, you see the cervical vertebrae. A blue box indicates several disc herniations. On the right, you see my C6/C7 disc. Arrows indicate the disc, nerve, and bone. A yellow arrow points to where the disc presses the nerve almost completely against the bone. This causes cervical radiculopathy (a pinched nerve). The nerve is so choked, it's causing pain in my neck and shoulder; plus tingling in my arm and numbness in my thumb, pointer, and middle fingers.

You know, I'm going to be early in my recovery from surgery on my 40th birthday, so I decided to get the Star Trek Spirits "Saurian Brandy Gene Roddenberry Legacy Bundle."
