Happy International Book Day! I’m currently reading a novel called “Sand” by Wolfgang Herrndorf that I picked up in the bargain bin at the UBC Bookstore. The title makes it sound boring but it’s actually wildly entertaining.
Apologies to anyone who had Paul Gillingham’s “Mexico” on hold at VPL. I finally finished it and returned it this morning. Seriously, 752 page books should get a longer loan period, especially if you have a job and kids.
This dog just grabbed a whole croissant off the counter, casually flipped it into the air and ate it like an orca devouring a seal. No guilt whatsoever. Completely remorseless.
I'm sure this has been done before but this is how I'm feeling these days...

This little guy/gal got dropped at the rabbit rescue yesterday. Luckily one of the other foster homes has a mum with a litter so hopefully she’ll be able to nurse it.
I love all fruits equally but we did make cherry knedliky last night so right now I’m fine being on Team Cherry.
Heading upriver yesterday evening. A very tiny Mt. Baker can be seen in the distance.
