Another defence is purely financial. If NATO countries dump the US cash and US treasury bonds they hold in their federal reserves, it would totally tank the USD and immediately spike the cost of winter imports … meaning FOOD. Maybe the American people would then reign in their rogue regime.
Canadian here. Why would any country want to be MORE aligned with the US?
