Authors examined the urinary & plasma excretion profiles of DEF & its metabolites after one oral administration. They identified the metabolite DES as the best marker for urinary detection. In this PCC-funded project, scientists examined the acute effects of real-world training on 26 circulating steroids in blood. They reported rapid changes in key steroid biomarkers, including T:A ratio, that were related to training load and perceived exertion. link.springer.com/article/10.1...
His study proposed & established the feasibility of a novel approach to identify unknown androgenic anabolic steroids (AAS) through a combination of MS/MS prediction & molecular networking of simulated & experimental data. Dr. Handelsman aims to examine if prohibiting anti-estrogen drugs is appropriate for female athletes. Current policies are backed by physiological reactions in males but lack the same basis for females. This could have implications for prohibited substances in women's sport.
